It was great to see the portrait I took of my husband, Ross Sheehan, published in Addison Independent’s Arts + Leisure section for their feature arts story. I had a great time testing my new fisheye lens.
It was extremely exciting to see Laura and Patrick’s Basin Harbor Club wedding published in Vermont Bride Magazine for the Winter/Fall 2017 issue. I loved everything about their day from their yellow wedding details to their sendoff through a giant tunnel of wedding sparklers. You can see the full story of their wedding photos here.

Vermont Bride: WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A PHOTOGRAPHER?
Cat: I really decided to become a storyteller and the camera is the best vehicle I have. I am of course both a romantic and a nostalgic–kind of a magic bullet for a wedding photojournalist. I love to hold onto time through photos and I’m endlessly curious and interested in hearing people’s stories. In my day-to-day life I really don’t go anywhere without my camera.

Marcy & Justin’s Fall-Themed Wedding
This was a true autumn wedding with gorgeous fall-foliage-themed bouquets, placeholders, and a cake topped with a pumpkin. Pumpkins even lined the Basin Harbor Club walkways after an impressive pumpkin-carving contest held by the resort. Marcy and Justin both had the most gorgeous and unique attire and nothing could top their late-night bonfire complete with the marshmallow their guests roasted over the open fire. Thank you so much Marcy and Justin for having me capture your incredible maple wedding!
