Lesley and Benjamin had a perfect wedding at the Inn at Baldwin Creek in Bristol, VT, on September 21, 2013. This is such a dream location for a wedding on the cusp of summer and fall. The leaves were showing the beginning signs of change. The ceremony was outside next to the woods and the river, and Lesley and Benj stood under a rustic birch altar wrapped in ribbon and twine lace. The reception was in the Red Barn and there were so many unique locations for wedding photos on these beautiful grounds. My favorite photo moment was when her bridesmaids tried their best to capture an apathetic bridemaids portrait but couldn’t keep a straight face (see below). Luckily, these grounds are not just limited to weddings–Mary’s Restaurant at the Inn at Baldwin Creek can be visited year-round for a fabulous farm dinner. Congratulations Lesley and Benj, it was an amazing day! I’m so glad I got to capture it!

Jen and Scott had an incredible wedding at The Skinner Barn in Waitsfield, Vermont. The rain held off the entire day and they even got a stunning evening sky. They could not have picked a better venue for their wedding. This rustic red barn setting blended perfectly with their handcrafted details like their woodburned state of Vermont table markers and their flower-filled sap buckets. Their sweet dog, Quigley, even joined in during the ceremony. And nothing could top Scott’s reaction to seeing Jen for the first time (of course Jen nailing Scott in the face with the cake was a close contender). Congratulations Jen and Scott! Thanks for letting me be a part of your amazing day!
Jane and Rupert had the most stunning destination wedding at the Colonel Williams Inn in Marlboro, VT, on August 24th 2013. This Manhattan-based couple had friends and family come from far and wide to see them unite, especially Rupert’s side who traveled from the United Kingdom. Jane could not have looked more gorgeous and Rupert’s reaction to seeing her for the first time walking down the aisle said it all. Congratulations Jane and Rupert, thanks for letting me be a part of your beautiful day!
We headed to The Vermont Wildflower Farm in Charlotte, VT, to take Lesley and Benjamin’s engagement photos. These two are going to be getting married on September 21, 2013, at Mary’s Restaurant at The Inn at Baldwin Creek in Bristol, VT. Loved the abundance of black eyed susans at the wildflower farm and then Benjamin surprised us all when he slipped in some hideous fake teeth to get Lesley laughing. Can’t wait to shoot there wedding in a few weeks!
Basin Harbor Club Wedding Photography
I recently worked with the Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes, VT, to produce a photo shoot highlighting some of their unique ceremony and reception locations available. The Basin Harbor Club staff was incredible to work with and our bride and groom, Adrienne and Ben, couldn’t have been a more perfect real-life model couple for this shoot. We had a blast taking a cruise on the EScape, which is an amazing option for a ceremony and cocktail cruise. We photographed in the Eight Bed Garden, the Sunshine Lawn, the pool deck, Chef’s Garden and the Surprise Garden. What was even more fun was that the weekend of the shoot marked Adrienne and Ben’s two year anniversary. Here are some of my favorites from the day.
