Sarah & Zach’s Shelburne Farms Wedding

Sarah and Zach had an intimate, dream wedding at The Inn at Shelburne Farms.  The forecast kept everyone on their toes until the last minute and we all wondered if their ceremony would end up being outdoors. But the rain cleared just in time and it ended up being a magical outdoor ceremony overlooking Lake Champlain. I had the best time walking around Shelburne Farms to take portraits of them. Shelburne Farms has so many incredible photo opportunities and backdrops for gorgeous environmental wedding portraits. And while we walked, I loved hearing the story of how Sarah and Zach had met at a Christmas party in Rhode Island, where they still live, and how their very first date was on New Year’s Eve. Sarah, a Shelburne native, had the most incredible crushed red velvet heals, and it was only by sheer coincidence that I paired them on top of a green velvet chair. But hearing that their love story took off during the holidays made that pairing of Christmas colors so much more significant. Thank you so much Sarah and Zach for choosing me to capture your perfect day!

Tia & Daniel’s DIY Vermont Campground Wedding Photography

Down a bumpy dirt road, far away from cell service is an oasis of rural Vermont beauty called Oregon Brook Road Camping.

This past weekend I photographed Tia Polex and Daniel O’Neill’s July 13, 2013, destination wedding at this Sheffield, VT, campground. The natural, serene setting was also where this Massachusetts-based couple got engaged, making it extra special.

It was such a thrill to capture their laid back, campground wedding complete with pizza, pie, a rustic cabin and DIY details like handcrafted signs and a thick bouquet of daisies. We did a group shot with all 45 guests and then Tia, Dan and I walked down to a beautiful grassy field to take some portraits of just the two of them.

Congratulations Tia and Dan, you had such a gorgeous day! thanks for letting me be a part of it!
