It was extremely exciting to see Laura and Patrick’s Basin Harbor Club wedding published in Vermont Bride Magazine for the Winter/Fall 2017 issue. I loved everything about their day from their yellow wedding details to their sendoff through a giant tunnel of wedding sparklers. You can see the full story of their wedding photos here.
Laura and Patrick’s wedding day weather was filled with unpredictable downpours. I love how thunderstorms are both exciting and cozy. It changed their plans for an outdoor ceremony, but it created the perfect lighting for photos once the rain died down. The bride could not have been more beautiful and their ceremony could not have been more special, much because Laura’s father married them. I had a fantastic time arranging some creative photos of their large wedding party. And the way they wrapped up their night certainly sparked a photographic flame in me. I’ve seen sparklers at weddings, but they created a huge sparkler tunnel that the couple walked through. It was absolutely stunning and quite a sendoff. Congratulations, Laura and Patrick, I loved capturing your day!
Laura and Patrick’s engagement shoot was like no other–incorporating a tractor, a historic cruise boat and a painted cow. We started our shoot at The Shoreham Inn and worked our way down to Larabee’s Point in Shoreham, VT, and onto the 60 ft luxury vessel cruise boat– Carillon Cruises. The shoot was originally supposed to be at Laura’s family farm, where the pair got engaged, but the downpours the day before had turned the farm into a mud slide. Instead, they brought a bit of the farm to them–the tractor–making for a perfect engagement shoot.
