It was great to see the portrait I took of my husband, Ross Sheehan, published in Addison Independent’s Arts + Leisure section for their feature arts story. I had a great time testing my new fisheye lens.
It was extremely exciting to see Laura and Patrick’s Basin Harbor Club wedding published in Vermont Bride Magazine for the Winter/Fall 2017 issue. Vermont Bride: WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A PHOTOGRAPHER?
Cat: I really decided to become a storyteller and the camera is the best vehicle I have. I am of course both a romantic and a nostalgic–kind of a magic bullet for a wedding photojournalist. I love to hold onto time through photos and I’m endlessly curious and interested in hearing people’s stories. In my day-to-day life I really don’t go anywhere without my camera.

We had amazing light for Jessica and Brandon’s engagement photos last weekend at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve in Moss Beach and Dunes Beach in Half Moon Bay. I had so much fun meeting these two and it couldn’t have been a more ideal day for photography.
